Classroom Learning

The Advanced Nursing Assistant program at ACTC provides knowledge and skills required for nurse aides in various healthcare settings. The curriculum includes:

Clinical Experience

NAA 115 builds on these skills to prepare students for work in hospital settings, including preoperative and postoperative care areas, as a Patient Care Technician.

Exam Preparation

Successful completion of NAA 100 allows students to take the State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) exam. The nurse aide testing fee is $115 for both skills and written portions ($40 for written only, $75 for skills only). According to State of Kentucky guidelines, students have one year from the completion of training to successfully complete the competency evaluation exam.
