CNA Training Structure

Classroom Learning

Clinical Experience

Exam Preparation

ccCNA prepares students for the state certification exam through comprehensive practice tests, skills worksheets, vocabulary lists, and final assessments. Students must achieve an 80% on the program’s 100-question written test to qualify for the state examination. The program includes preparation for all 22 skills that may be tested during the state skills demonstration portion.

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • No felony convictions
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English (the state offers Spanish translation for the written test, but skills test must be performed in English)

CNA Class Schedule & Flexibility

  • Participate in three 8-hour clinical days at various nursing homes

Tuition & Financial Aid Information

The all-inclusive cost for the CNA program is $550, which includes:

Additional expenses include:

  • State examination fee: $110 ($55 for written portion, $55 for skills portion)
  • Required clinical supplies: scrubs (any color), tennis shoes, watch with second-hand, and ccCNA name tag
  • Optional personal supplies: stethoscope and blood pressure cuff (shared equipment is available at no cost)

Please note that there is a fine for missed clinical days ($25 for first missed clinical, $50 for each missed thereafter).

The Utah Division of Workforce Services may provide financial assistance to qualifying individuals. ccCNA is an approved vendor/trainer for Utah Workforce Services.
